Support in order to develop and Improve the agriculture methods of the minorities living in the mountains .

New farming methods and a micro-credit program have been introduced to ethnic minorities in Vietnam’s Central Highlands.

In a bid to improve the agricultural methods in Vietnam’s Central Highlands, where the farming situation has been particularly difficult, a french farming expert has regularly visited farmers in Kon Tum province since August 2010.

Francis, the agricultural expert, has introduced the farmers to new farming methods that have been applied to “experimental” plots.

Meanwhile, a micro-credit program has been underway since December 2010 to give young, struggling couples a chance to have their own farm. The program started out as a pilot project with a young Bahnar couple. It proved to be a success and other micro-credits have been made available.

Thanks goes to our former PdV volunteers - agricultural expert Francis and manager Olivier. Today, other volunteers are continuing to work on the project.
